Please Mama, Can I help you make cookies for the boys? Please??
BTW, everything you've ever heard about Jack Russells being able to jump freakishly high for their size, is totally true. Emma's discovered a whole new world recently. OK. Everybody all set??This is from The Cowardly Lion Kit. I love love love the stitch marker! He's holding his tail which I think is absolutely perfect. He makes me laugh every time I look at him. All of the kits have had stitch markers and they have all been by Jillian of Wee Ones. She has been right on the money with every single kit. The yarn is Whatnot Sock Yarn by Union Center Knits and the pattern is by the fabulous Irishgirlieknits! Carrie did a great job creating a stitch pattern that looks, to me, just like the lion's mane.
This next yarn is from the Toto Kit. Another fabulous stitch marker from Wee Ones! I love how Toto's little pink tongue is sticking out. The funniest part is that the stitch marker was in a little basket! The yarn is a new base called Windsor by Miss Babs. It has a beautiful feel to it and I'm looking forward to knitting it up.
This last one is Ruby Slippers. The yarn is Bling by Zen Yarn Garden. It's a pretty color, has a nice feel to it, and I love how it's shiny, but the color? Um..... Yeah..... Totally missed the mark for me :-( The Ruby Slippers pattern, by Bethany Whitney, is fabulous! I really love it, but I'm going to have to knit it using something different. If I used this colorway for Ruby Slippers I would feel like I was wearing Manolo Blahnik knock-off's.
I think that the Bling will make a really pretty shawlette. So into the stash bin it goes waiting for the right pattern to speak to me. I may be a lemming and make an Ishbel with it, because I think I'm one of the few people in the knitting world who has not yet made one.
The January Rockin' Sock Club arrived last week too, but I'll show that to you another day!
I didn't sign up for that club so I'll live vicariously through you and your blog posts. :) Pretty pretty!
