Little Monster's Milan

I have exciting news to share! I mentioned in an earlier post that my beautiful niece was expecting her first child. (this is her and her handsome husband on their wedding day)
Little Monster has arrived! And he is perfect! I just want to snuggle him!

Unfortunately for me he lives a plane ride away so I sent some love in the form of a sweater.

I have Louisa Harding's Natural Knits for Babies and Moms and I love it! This is Milan and is the third sweater I have made from the book and I'm sure there will be many more. I used Berocco's Vintage yarn for this sweater. The pattern calls for toggle buttons and crocheted loops that you attach separately. I didn't care for the look because the sweater didn't really close well so I decided to use a traditional button band and buttons. I was happier with this end result. Next time I might try a zipper!

  1. Congratulations, auntie! Such an adorable sweater. It's going to look great on the cute little monster. :)

  2. Congratulations to your family! Very cute sweater and the baby is too cute in that hat!

  3. That baby is adorable and the sweater matches the cuteness all around! Lucky baby!
